Trust and Estate Administrator – Boston – Hybrid
Our client is a prestigious law firm specializing in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management for high net worth individuals and families. With a reputation for excellence and personalized service, they provide comprehensive legal solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of their clients. We are seeking a talented Trust and Estate Administrator to join their team and support their growing practice.
As a Trust and Estate Administrator, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to attorneys and clients in the management of trusts, estates, and other wealth planning structures. You will be responsible for assisting with the administration of trusts, handling client communications, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate execution of estate plans.
Responsibilities:
- Trust Administration: Assist with the administration of trusts, including trust funding, asset transfers, and distribution of assets in accordance with trust documents and applicable laws.
- Estate Administration: Support attorneys in the administration of estates, including probate proceedings, asset valuation, and preparation of estate tax returns.
- Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding trust and estate matters. Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries and requests.
- Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, including trust agreements, wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Coordination: Coordinate with attorneys, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals involved in the estate planning process to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of trust and estate transactions, including financial transactions, distributions, and account reconciliations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to trust and estate administration, including tax reporting and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and their families, providing personalized support and guidance throughout the trust and estate administration process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, additional certifications or coursework in trust and estate administration preferred
- 5+ years of experience in trust and estate administration, preferably in a law firm or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of trust and estate administration principles, including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
