Temporary Tax Associate
Multi-service accounting firm in Stoneham, MA, 02180 seeks a Temporary Tax Associate for an immediate need.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in tax accounting.
This is a temporary role (4+ months). On-site 3 days per week.
Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $50.00 per hour (based on relevant work experience).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for a variety of complex individuals and businesses
- 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990 returns
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting
- Possess general knowledge of federal and state tax laws, corporate, individual, trust, gifts, and partnership taxation
- CPA eligibility preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workflow
- Must be highly organized and able to manage time extremely well
