Temporary Contracts Attorney
We are currently seeking candidates for a Temporary Contracts Attorney at a global asset management co. with a location in Copley Square, Boston, MA, 02116.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of contracts experience (negotiating, review, edit, draft).
Prior experience in the financial services/asset management industry(s) is highly preferred.
This is a temporary role (est. 4 months) and will pay up to $75.00 per hour (based on within a 40-hour work week.
3 days on-site per week.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft, evaluate and negotiate various client and vendor contracts and agreements
- Provide contract administration support
- Review and analyze RFIs/RFPs as required
- Provide ad-hoc support to Procurement Managers
- Ensure complete and accurate vendor profiles are on file
- Assist in updating procurement-related templates, policies, and procedures
- Recommend and contribute to projects/process improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
- JD is required
- Minimum of 5+ years of inhouse legal or law firm experience negotiating contracts or deals
- Financial services or asset management industry is highly preferred
- Experience negotiating contracts or deals
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player with a strong focus on getting the job done within established strict timeframes
