Tax Senior/Manager
Our client is a boutique family office firm located in the Fall River area South of Boston. Their business is primarily made up of closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. The firm offers a highly personalized and tailored approach to tax counseling and estate planning. As this position has the potential for growth, we are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in this field, as well as the necessary professional qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, estate, trusts, partnerships and corporations
- Assist with annual gift strategies and gift tax compliance
- Create tax planning ideas and strategies for individuals and multi-state corporations and partnerships
- Prepare and organize tax files and prepare projections
- Research complex tax issues
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices
- Client correspondence
Qualifications:
- EA/CPA or CPA candidate
- B.S.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Accounting Software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and requests, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- 3-8 years’ tax focused public accounting experience preferred
