Sr. Tax Analyst
A well-established real estate investment firm located in Boston is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join their tax and accounting team. The Tax Senior will report directly to the Tax Director and will be responsible for managing the firm’s overall tax compliance process. The firm offers a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus bonus and strong benefits. This is a hybrid in-office position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Initial review of all tax workpapers/returns related to Fund/Management company entities, which include Partnerships, REITs, and U.S. and Offshore Blocker Corporations

Ensure the Fund’s compliance with the quarterly/annual REIT requirements, through the review of quarterly/annual REIT testing prepared by tax service providers, communication with PMs on the completion of PSQs, and identification of potential ITSI issues on a property-by-property basis

Prepare quarterly/annual tax provisions for the Fund’s U.S. and Offshore Blocker Corporations

Manage the tax reporting process related to the Fund/Management company entities, which include timely filing of all tax returns, extensions and estimate payments to the tax authorities as well as the delivery of Schedule K-1/K-3, Form 1042, and Form 8804 to investors
Qualifications:

BS in Accounting REQUIRED;

At least 3 years of Public Accounting or private industry real estate taxation experience; CPA a plus

Technical knowledge of real estate partnership and corporate taxation, REIT taxation and

qualification, and state income and franchise taxation

Understanding of Fund/Management company investor tax sensitivities, such as UBTI, section 199A, section 163(j), section 1061, and state withholding/composite requirements or exemptions
