Senior Property Accountant – Boston, MA – Real Estate
A leading privately-held real estate firm with over 30B in assets is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their growing team. The Senior Accountant will Maintain and report timely, accurate and reliable financial and accounting information for the three management companies within the structure of the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements along with supporting schedules and footnotes.

Enter journal entries, prepare workpapers, and document policies and procedures.

Prepare the cash management reports for each entity’s bank accounts and review monthly bank reconciliations. Verify all transactions are recorded correctly and timely.

Prepare allocation of shared corporate costs across business lines.

Track reimbursements of payroll, insurance, and other expenses from various funds and properties.

Process expense invoices and wire requests as needed.

Prepare annual information for tax deliverables prepared by CPA firm.

Provide requested information to CPA firm during the interim and year-end audits.

Review quarterly fixed asset additions to ensure compliance with capitalization policy.

Perform ad hoc duties and projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:

Extremely detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to organize & prioritize projects, complete multiple tasks on schedule.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience with Real Estate preferred, Corporate experience required.

At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
