Job Title: Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

Job Description:
Our company is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join the Technical Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in technical accounting, be a CPA with excellent communication skills, and have a strong understanding of ASC 606, ASC 842, Pre-IPO, and SEC reporting requirements. The Senior Manager of Technical Accounting will be responsible for managing teams and project engagements, as well as providing technical accounting guidance to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the organization, including research and interpretation of accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos, and analysis of complex accounting transactions
- Review and assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required filings
- Ensure compliance with new accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and provide guidance on their implementation
- Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to those policies
- Manage teams and project engagements, including overseeing the work of staff and senior accountants
- Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions and other special projects
- Provide guidance and training to team members on technical accounting matters
- Communicate with external auditors and other stakeholders on technical accounting matters
- Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification required
- 8+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in a public company environment
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, Pre-IPO, and SEC reporting requirements
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing teams and project engagements
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to hire, mentor, and develop teams
- Experience with financial reporting software and systems, such as Workiva or SEC Edgar
- Base Salary $200,000 plus bonus plus excellent benefits
