Audit Senior Associate (Non-Profit) – Remote Opportunity
A well-established public accounting firm located in Massachusetts is seeking an audit accounting professional to join their team as a Senior Audit Associate. This position will work alongside other audit professionals on the firm’s audit and attestation division. The firm is seeking a professional with non-profit client exposure. The firm is open to remote candidates and is offering a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as needed and documenting; validating, testing and assessing various control systems

Utilize their knowledge of GAAS principles and apply them to engagements

Develop and apply their knowledge of auditing theory to various client situations

Complete all appropriate documentation of work papers

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Participate in business development and networking opportunities
Qualifications:
-
3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on external audit and assurance services
-
Focus on Not-For-Profit clients
-
CPA License preferred
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Strong knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS etc)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement
