Senior Accountant – Health & Wellness ($95K base + Strong bonus)
A rapidly growing health & wellness start-up company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will have big 4 experience +private industry experience, preferably within e-commerce and have their CPA. Additionally, we are seeking candidates with strong US GAAP and ERP experience. This role will pay up to $95K on a base, plus a strong bonus, and a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor and analyze budget performance, identifying variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and company policies
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis
- Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 4 years of big 4 and industry experience (e-commerce preferred)
- Must be willing to be onsite 4 days/week
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Net Suite preferred)
