Property Accountant – Wakefield, MA – Real Estate Private Equity

A leading real estate fund manager with a focus on industrial properties within US coastal markets is looking to hire a Property Accountant to their growing team. The Property Accountant will lead property level reporting for a number of individual assets within a larger fund or portfolio. The PA will be working under the supervision of the Portfolio Accountants and the Accounting Manager across all accounting functions necessary to support a fast growing enterprise!

Responsibilities:

Perform month-end close process for a portfolio of properties

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts for the assigned portfolio

• Prepare quarterly and year-end CAM reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial packages for distribution to property managers and asset managers

• Monitor accounts receivables and cash receipts

• Initiate and record cash transfers (wires and check processing)

• Monitor lender funding for construction requisitions

• Assist with debt compliance monitoring and lender reporting on a regular basis

• Work with asset managers and property managers to review annual budgets and quarterly reforecast for the assigned portfolio

• Assist with the annual audit preparation for various entities

• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• One to two years of accounting experience in commercial real estate

• Experience with Yardi accounting software preferred

• Proficiency in Excel a plus

• Prior knowledge of development accounting a plus
