Pricing Analyst- Investment Analyst – San Francisco, CA

We are seeking candidates for a Pricing Analyst position with a top-tier Investment Management firm located in San Francisco, CA. This position will have functional responsibilities including performing core workflows within the security reference data and securing pricing domains, as well as quality control functions daily while working with internal teams and market data vendors to improve the Firm’s pricing and reference data processes. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of operations experience within financial services and strong knowledge of fixed income or derivates.

This is a 12+ month contract that will pay $33-40/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 3 days/week in the San Francisco, CA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating instruments as requested by Investors and Trading teams
  • Provide timely, accurate support for complex and routine reference data inquiries
  • Perform daily validation and initiation processes to ensure data integrity across platforms
  • Develop expertise in internal systems to assist with solution design and support issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and brokers to resolve issues and ensure data accuracy
  • Lead initiatives to boost productivity, improve processes, enhance scalability, and strengthen controls
  • Identify and resolve business and system issues in collaboration with Technology, vendors, brokers, and internal data consumers
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Compliance, Trading, Fund Services, and Legal teams to optimize firm outcomes related to purchases, client permissibility, and regulatory restrictions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in operations, analysis, or finance
  • 2+ years of financial services experience with knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity, FX, and Derivatives is a plus
  • Prior experience with data querying and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, VBA, Tableau) is a plus
  • Progress toward or completion of a post-graduate or professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is a plus
  • Proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and issue resolution
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Collaborative and problem-solving mindset
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills with diplomacy and humor in managing competing priorities

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and other market data providers is a plus
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Excel functions
