Operations/Compliance Associate – $105k-$130k base plus bonus
A well-established real estate fund management firm is seeking an Operations/Compliance Associate to join their team. This is an interdisciplinary role, that will work supporting the operations initiatives, legal, and compliance teams within the firm. Additionally, this person will work collaboratively with the senior executive, portfolio management/investment, legal, and accounting teams. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is located north of Boston.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist the Managing Partner/General Counsel and the COO on company operations (SEC compliance and company policies)

Work with General Counsel and COO on various company-level initiatives including implementation of new processes, policies, and technologies across company verticals

Work with firm’s various legal teams (transaction and fund counsel) to assist in coordination of transaction documentation

Assist in new fund formation and venture management, including preparation and review of marketing and investor materials, investor targeting and tracking, and investor closing/onboarding

Work collaboratively with acquisitions, asset management/property management, finance and accounting, and senior management to support operational initiatives

Assist in maintenance of database for all reporting deliverables and track various deadlines stated in venture documents and side letters
Qualifications:

Four-year college or university degree required

3-5 years in a compliance/operations/finance role with an adviser or manager of alternative investment strategies (such as real estate, private equity, or hedge funds)

Legal experience is a plus

Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of institutional private real estate fund products and how these vehicles are structured

Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, problem solving skills and extreme attention to detail when working in a fast-paced, multiple-task environment
