Staff Accountant – Manufacturer – South Shore, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant position with a successful manufacturing company located on the South Shore, MA. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience and must have excellent communication skills and manage the day-to-day office operations of the company.
This is a contract to hire position that will pay $28-30/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 5 days/week.
Responsibilities:

Process all A/P

Process all expense reporting and get signoff from executive management

Post A/R to proper accounts

Produce a weekly DSO (daily sales outstanding A/R)

Process Union Payroll for 100+ employees
-
Onboard and offboard employees
-
Pay all union dues
-
Work with an outside CPA firm on all financial matters

Provide reporting to CEO and VP

Communicate with all employees daily on union and non-union items

Order all office supplies
-
Backup IT manager on Office 365, phone system, and security items

Provide administrative support to the VP and CEO
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business

2+ years of experience in Accounting and Office Management
-
Previous experience in a Union Shop is a big plus

3+ years of experience as an Office Coordinator with accounting experience

Strong experience with Excel, Office 365, and accounting software

Exposure to Foundation Accounting Software is a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills, calendar management, follow-through skills, and attention to detail

Ability to work with a team and execute all tasks to keep the team on schedule
