Medical Laboratory Supervisor
Our client, a rapidly growing, cutting-edge diagnostics lab, is currently seeking a Hematology Supervisor to join their team. This person will be responsible for supervising the work and daily operations of the core lab to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses in various areas, including chemistry, immunology, flow cytometry, and hematology.
- Determine normal and abnormal components by conducting chemical analyses of blood, serum, urine, and tissue samples, providing data for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease states.

Clinical hematology testing, including coagulation testing, manual differentials, complete blood counts, and reticulocyte counts

Ensure the operation of analyzers and other laboratory equipment by calibrating, running quality control, performing required instrument studies, completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for service, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Prepare reagents and necessary solutions for all laboratory tests. Set up, clean and maintain laboratory equipment.

Maintain laboratory supplies inventory

Write and update laboratory procedures under supervision as required

Prepare reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
- Participate in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency, expand current knowledge and enhance professional excellence.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Medical Technology, chemistry, or biology and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as required in the State of New York
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
Daley and Associates, LLC provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $105,000 – $150,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience and education. The salary range listed does not include differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
