Mechanical Engineer
Our Pittsburgh based employee centric manufacturing client is growing and looking to add a mechanical engineer to their Pittsburgh team who would have the responsiblility for mechanical design and drafting for customer specific capital equipment orders. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Create machine designs in Pro E Wildfire 4.0 and SolidWorks 2021
- Create and maintain accurate change logs and issue logs during machine build process
- Will support electrical and hydraulic schematic drafting in AutoCAD
- Will support capital equipment machine start-up and debug/trouble shooting during all phases of the build
- Working and communicating with purchasing vendors to ensure designs are manufactured efficiently
- Candidate will also support purchasing with technical details as necessary
- Properly and safely maintain machine designs while working with proprietary data
- Estimate and Design tooling for various EH technologies
- Communicates with Project Management to ensure all customer expectations are considered in design phase
- Maintains accurate records of tooling designs
- Work with global teammates to support the design and fabrication of Vector, EasyFlow and EcoFlow machines built
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ 3D design/ modeling experience with Pro-Engineer and SolidWorks
- Hands-on experience running machines and designing / assembling fixtures preferred
- Proficient Microsoft Project and Office Applications, including Word and Excel
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills / ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
- Works well in a group / team environment
- Knowledge of various fabrication processes (i.e., machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.)
