Manufacturing Engineer- Boston
Our client who is a global manufacturer of electro-mechanical devices for vibration solutions is seeking to add a Quality Control Inspector to their team.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and evaluating new processes, as well as improving current process capability, efficiency, and overall productivity in all areas of the manufacturing facility. This includes both new and existing products. The role involves analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
To be successful in this role, the Manufacturing Engineer should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least 5-7 years of experience in a ISO 9001 manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with process development, process improvement, and project management. They should also have knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment, as well as an understanding of quality control systems.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer may include:
- Developing and improving manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve efficiency
- Identifying opportunities to reduce waste, increase productivity, and reduce costs
- Implementing process improvements and monitoring their effectiveness
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Identifying and resolving production issues in a timely manner
- Developing and maintaining process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Participating in new product development teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
- Conducting process validation activities and supporting product validation activities
- Working knowledge of metal forming, cutting, water jets, hydraulic brakes and CNC Machinery
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Kaizen continuous improvement experience required
