Manager, Central Data Governance Team (Boston/Hybrid)
PLEASE NOTE, WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A DATA SCIENTIST OR A DATA ENGINEER, this is NOT a technical role. THIS IS A BUSINESS OPERATIONS ROLE, NOT A TECHNICAL ROLE. THEY NEED SOMEONE FROM THE BUSINESS SIDE OF AN INVESTMENT FIRM THAT HAS SET UP A CENTRALIZED DATA GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK FROM SCRATCH.
Our client, a leading private investment management firm is Boston, MA is seeking a Manager of Central Data Governance. The Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing a robust Central Data Governance framework from the ground up and will be reporting into the VP of Central Data Governance. Responsibilities include designing and implementing comprehensive data governance structures, reducing data errors, and fostering adoption of the framework across the organization. Key qualifications include experience in asset management and standing up data governance programs. This role does not have any direct reports at this time, they are looking for an individual contributor who can roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Data Governance structure
- Manage Data Domains and Data Owners
- Establish Data Quality KPIs and metrics
- Collaborate with IT and Operations, this is not an IT role, not looking for data engineers, we need someone from the operations side.
- Track progress and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure adoption of Data Governance framework
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of asset management experience is required
- experience building data governance from the ground up is ideal
- Experience in data governance programs
- Deadline-driven with strong process discipline
- Effective communicator and collaborator
