IT Project Manager Consultant – Lexington, MA – Telecommunications

Daley And Associates is currently seeking an IT Project Manager Consultant to join our clients IT department. This PM will deliver comprehensive solutions across application development, systems deployment, user experience, change management, and quality assurance. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation, including schedules, status reports, risk logs, and action plans. The Project Manager also supports analyses of project costs, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery. NO C2C or 1099 contractors are eligible.

This is 6-month contract position that will pay $65/hour within a 40 hour work week. This role does require an onsite presence 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and update detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies.
  • Portfolio Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage IT infrastructure project pipelines. Facilitate decisions on accelerating, decelerating, adding, or removing projects from the portfolio.
  • Status Reporting: Prepare reports to communicate project scope, milestones, budget, risks, and change requests to stakeholders and team members.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain updated project schedules by incorporating input from all functional teams.
  • Budget Tracking: Assist with project cost estimates and ongoing budget analysis. Provide budget updates and support cost management.
  • Resource Management: Direct and manage project work, including task assignments and resource allocation. Ensure staff availability and update project plans accordingly.
  • Risk Management: Document identified risks and mitigation strategies. Regularly review and update risk status.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with technology and business stakeholders to analyze and manage expectations based on project requirements.
  • Integration Support: Coordinate with project teams to integrate technical and functional updates into work plans.
  • Administrative Support: Document meeting outcomes, track action items, and proactively address issues to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications:
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and diverse environment. Candidates should have experience with project management practices, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
