Interim Controller – Manufacturing – Providence, RI
We are seeking candidates for an Interim Controller position with a successful food manufacturing company located South of Providence, RI. The Interim Controller will be hands on with helping the company close their books and well-versed in consolidations and working with multiple entities.
This is a 2-month contract that will pay $80-100/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 3 days per week in their office.
Responsibilities:

Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic initiatives during quarterly board meetings.

Lead all financial reporting, forecasting, and the annual budget process.

Manage treasury operations, business insurance, and employee benefit renewals.

Oversee bank debt management, including quarterly debt covenants and compliance schedules.

Supervise the annual financial audit and food safety certification process.

Develop and monitor company sales and operational KPIs.

Direct all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and pricing.

Manage the company’s ERP system and oversee IT-related activities.

Oversee specific operational areas, including repack operations, truck leases, monthly inventories, and repair and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

MBA or CPA preferred.

10+ years of progressive financial leadership, including 5+ years in a Controllership role.

Demonstrated experience managing financial operations across multiple business units.

Strong expertise in manufacturing accounting; experience in the perishable goods industry is highly desirable.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus

In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.

Strategic thinker with the adaptability to handle tactical tasks as needed.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for conveying complex financial data clearly.
