Interim Controller
We are currently seeking candidates for a “hands on” Interim Controller at a manufacturing co. in Cranston, RI, 02920.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing and retail environment.
This is a temporary role (est. 6+ weeks) and will pay up to $85.00 per hour (based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.
Must have manufacturing experience.
On-site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:

Lead a large accounting project

Preparation of the audit
-
Month-end close
-
Financial statements
-
General ledger and bank reconciliations and accruals

Work with outside audit firm

Prepare for state and federal audit

Ensure internal controls and procedures are in place
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing and retail environment.
- Bachelor’s degree
- CPA preferred
- Strong system skills and advanced Excel
- Ability to manage multiple items at once
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to proactively communicate and work effectively with staff, corporate management and internal customers
