Help Desk Engineer – North New Jersey
Daley And Associates is currently conducting a search for a skilled and motivated Help Desk Technician for a client who is a growing legal practice in the Northern New Jersey area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, assisting them with various software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees, responding promptly to support tickets and resolving issues effectively.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate team when necessary.
- Install and configure software and hardware, ensuring that all systems are up to date and functioning properly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve network or system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (MS Office 365).
- Familiarity with legal software used in the industry is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional and friendly demeanor, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in IT support or a related field are a plus.
