Grants & Finance Manager
A nonprofit foundation located in Boston is seeking a Grants and Finance Manager to join their team! This foundation focuses on grantmaking for nonprofits within the education and Jewish Community. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Administration, you will manage and continue to improve the Foundation’s grant payment and financial systems. Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve the Grants Management and Financial Systems
- Develop an effective process for grants administration, including the management of Salesforce grant database, review of grant agreements, vetting of new and existing grants recipients and timely payment of all grants and community donations
- Manage the Salesforce database, including training new users, report generation, issue monthly/quarterly reports, grant payments, and quarterly funding needs
- Manage the quarterly capital call process for funding of grants commitments and operating expenses
- Ensure annual funding needs are met, quarterly tax payments are met and work with the Director of Operations and external accountants to ensure completion of annual tax returns
- Create an operating budget, monitor of actual spending against budget ad ongoing oversight
- Ensure that all financial systems are up-to-date, accurate, and reconciled
- Mange the vendor and employee expense payment system, including AP invoices, contracts, credit card invoices etc.
- Mange special projects to drive system improvement and operational excellence
- Create and implement system improvements on an ongoing basis
- Review/process all new consultant contracts using DocuSign
- Identify and manage high-quality external vendors, ensuring that the foundation and staff are well-served and supported
Qualifications:
- BA degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of working as a Grants Manager/Grants Admin
- Must have Finance & Accounting knowledge – Cloud-based AP/Financial management systems, such as InTact, Bill.com
- Knowledge of Accounting principles, GL accounts and coding, budget tracking and financial report generation
- Strong knowledge in Excel (pivot tables & charts)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be willing to be onsite 4 days/week
