Finance Manager
A leading travel agency based in Boston, known for curating exceptional travel experiences for clients worldwide is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team! As the FP&A Manager, you will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function, driving strategic financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to support our growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
- Provide financial models and analysis to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive management, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for the business
- Partner with Brand Marketing leaders to drive and support actions to beat annual financial plan
- Leverage analysis of Direct Sales Metrics to identify top opportunities and risks, recommend and quantify actions to improve direct sales P&L
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational plans
- Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts, explaining variances and recommending corrective actions as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably in the travel industry or related sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial analysis into actionable insights and recommendations.
