Equity Specialist- Investment- Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an Equity Specialist position with an industry leading real estate investment company located in Boston, MA. This position will support the company’s Global Equity and Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP). The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of benefit experience preferably dealing with internal equity.
This is a contract opportunity that will pay $55/hr within a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities:
- Understand in-depth all applicable benefit and equity programs and eligibility requirements
- Consult with employees on eligibility requirements, enrollment claims, and other benefit- or equity-related issues
- Respond accurately, comprehensively, and within one business day of receipt to all inquiries received through the Benefits team’s mailbox
- Process all wellness and education reimbursements and provide accurate reporting
- Prepare ad hoc 401(k) plan reports, including for the Accounting department
- Manage, with a vendor and in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws, short- and long-term disability, Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), military, and unpaid leave claims for specified employees, ensuring FMLA compliance
- Act as liaison between the participant, his/her manager and Human Resources representative, the disability vendor, and the Payroll team
- Ensure the accuracy of all data entered into Fusion HR, including life event and rate start and end dates
- Conduct, either in person or via webinars, new hire orientations, benefit self-service demonstrations, and open enrollment meetings for various Company offices
- Assist with facilitating and setting up all benefit events such as health fairs, educational seminars, wellness promotions, and flu clinics; attend local benefit events
- Participate on the annual open enrollment and wellness project teams
- Assist with preparing and distributing benefit-related communications
- Administer, maintain, and reconcile the system (currently E*TRADE) used to administer Company equity plans, including account terminations and updates; assist with tasks related to processing bi-annual Employee Stock Purchase Plan (“ESPP”) purchases and tracking grant acceptances, quarterly RSU releases, and quarterly equity grants
- Maintain global ESPP participation information (i.e., enrollment and withdrawals) and communicate changes to Human Resources Business Partners, local payroll groups, and employees
- Generate for and distribute to the corporate Finance and Payroll departments monthly and quarterly equity reports
- Assist with preparing and reviewing quarterly equity grant schedules for review by the Human Resources department
- Maintain the list of insiders approved by the Legal department and ensure it is accurately updated in the equity database
- Apply functional knowledge of Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and IRS regulations to assist with compliance of benefits plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3+ years of Corporate Benefits experience
- Experience dealing with internal equity is a plus
- Functional knowledge of current Employee Retirement Income Security Act, IRS, Department of Labor, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act regulations in order to assist with plan compliance
- Detail-oriented; able to multitask, meet deadlines, and work on a team and independently
- Strong HRIS systems background
- Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills
- Oracle/Fusion-HR experience preferred
