Data Management Analyst – Investment Management – Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Data Management Analyst position with a top-tier Investment Management firm based in Boston, MA. This position is an entry level, clerical role that will focus on processing and transaction-based tasks. The candidate will assist with monitoring data or service quality and resolve issues The ideal candidate is energetic, efficient, and eager to learn with 0-2 years of experience in financial services or data quality experience.

This is a 6 month contract that will pay $25-33/hr within a 40-hour work week. This candidate is required to be onsite 3 days/wk.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and information for reporting and data updates. May monitor a variety of data checks to ensure accuracy to minimize risk
  • Communicate data trends and issues to the manager and help determine a solution to assist in the resolution
  • Under manager supervision interacts and coordinates with other departments to resolve questions and problems
  • Assists the subject matter expert for data related projects. Dedicates time to meeting with Business Units to scope out work
  • May create and produce reports as required to support business users at all levels
  • Takes on special projects and additional responsibilities as requested
  • Works to find processes that will enhance efficiencies within team
  • Assists in creating new processes and resolves day to day issues by working with manager
  • Creates guidelines and training peers on new efficiencies that the team has taken over

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or math-related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 0-2+ years of Financial Services industry or data quality experience
  • Experience using applications and/or technology systems currently used by the business
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to compare data from various sources
  • Strong database knowledge and Macro programming ability
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, decision-making skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships within a team
  • Strong problem solving, communication, partnership, and interpersonal skills, collaborating with all organizational levels across the organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment as well as exercising independent judgment
