Corporate Tax Senior – Boston, MA – Private Equity
A leading private multi-asset alternative investment firm with approximately $160 billion of assets under management is looking to hire a Corporate Tax Senior to their growing team. The corporate tax senior will be responsible for the corporate tax compliance for the firm’s portfolio companies.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Manage blocker/corporate tax compliance for a large number of entities.

Coordinate with outside service providers on Transfer Pricing (“TP”) and shareholder loan note review.

Prepare TP calculation based off TP Study and cash movement.

Prepare shareholder loan note based off TP Tracker, monitor AHYDO provisions, etc.

Liaise with internal finance and operations teams to ensure proper booking of shareholder loan notes, distributions, and other transactions.

Coordinate with accounting operations to ensure that cash movements reconciles above and below the blocker/corporation (capturing cash and cashless movements).

Ensure shareholder loan interest accrual/PIK calculations are accurate.

Confirm that cash movements tie to bank account statements.

Prepare and maintain consistent books for the blocker/corporate entities.

Prepare quarterly tax estimates and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities.

Review blocker/corporation annual federal, state and local tax returns.

Ensure that upstream distributions are properly accounted for, withholding tax is applied where applicable and any tax payments/filings are timely submitted.

Maintain documentation in BOX/centralized database.

Prepare documents and presentations, including structure charts and spreadsheets.

Participate in various projects and initiatives to enhance and improve operational efficiency.

Maintain, update or create databases and/or database information (e.g. files, trackers, etc.).

Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Skills/Experience Required:

Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe.

Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, exercising good judgment, diplomacy, and discretion.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree

1-4 years of relevant experience

Solid professional with a desire to learn and become involved in a wide variety of projects.
