Controller – up to $130k
An established multidisciplinary law firm in Boston is seeking a Controller to join the business operations side of their team. This person will be responsible for providing weekly reports and quarterly financial updates to partners, develop and maintain company controls, maximize payroll and human resource efficiency, and help develop short and long-term operational strategies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and actual expenditures.

Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.

Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.

Oversee and support others involved in the accounting and human resource functions creating an environment of trust and productivity.

Implement consistent personnel and human resource policies, practices and procedures adhering to national and local legal standards.

Assist partners with any project management task.
Qualifications:

Five or more years of professional accounting experience.

Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data compilation.

Experience in managing payroll with focus on streamlining accounting processes.

Experience in managing personnel and human resource functions with focus on streamlining related processes.
-
History of financial and human resource project management.
