Contracts Analyst- Investment Management – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Contract Analyst to join a top-tier Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA to join their Compliance Department. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of financial securities, including knowledge of markets, stocks, bonds, and ETFs. This role will initially focus on data entry but will evolve into increased communication across all levels of the organization. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual eager to grow within the role.
This is a 6+ month contract that will pay $20-25/hr within a 40-hour work week. The position is required to be onsite 3 days/week in the Boston office.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Corporate Compliance group and uphold the company’s Code of Ethics by leveraging your knowledge of securities markets and brokerage functions to:
- Input broker statement data into the Code of Ethics system
- Research and resolve data discrepancies with brokers
- Prepare and maintain daily, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports
- Communicate with employees regarding brokerage data and statement issues
- Reconcile broker accounts, identify anomalies, and provide solutions
- Assist the Distribution Compliance group by applying your knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), the USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations to:
- Review and resolve sanctions-related alerts
- Address high-risk transaction alerts
- Coordinate searches related to new OFAC sanctions announcements
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial services
- Basic knowledge of securities markets and financial transactions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn and navigate company systems
- Experience in investment or brokerage operations, with a compliance focus, is preferred
- Familiarity with AML/KYC processes, OFAC regulations, sanctions screening, and investigative tools is a plus
