Assistant Corporate Controller – Hybrid
A prominent real estate investment firm located in Boston is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to join their corporate finance group. This professional will be responsible for the accounting and reporting operations for all aspects of the management company. This position is a hybrid role with the firm being willing to pay a competitive base salary plus bonus compensation and offers excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the accounting and reporting for multiple General Partner, incentive and employee vehicle entities

Implement monthly/quarterly reporting processes for employee vehicles (closed-end and open-end)

Assist in the continued buildout and enhancement of the company’s corporate ERP system (Yardi)

Assist with the accounting for investments, fixed assets, leases, placement agent fees and deferred compensation

Responsible for certain month end journal entries
Qualifications:
-
Four to six years of relevant experience – The ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting experience (‘Big Four’ preferred) and private company experience (preferably working within a corporate group)

CPA preferred

Yardi experience strongly preferred

Strong Excel skills

Team-oriented, strategic forward-looking thinker

Detail oriented, self-starter with a strong ability to multitask

Sound understanding of US GAAP financial statements
