Assistant Controller, Real Estate Private Equity – West Palm Beach, FL
Our team is assisting a prominent Real Estate Private Equity fund in West Palm Beach in hiring an Assistant Fund Controller. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the company’s real estate private equity funds, including investor reporting and internal information requests. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting for investment vehicles
- Manage quarterly capital account reconciliations, including waterfall models, IRRs, and partner allocations
- Handle capital calls, distributions, and investor correspondence
- Maintain cash forecasts and line of credit balances for the funds
- Review and prepare investor-level reports and questionnaires
- Continuously explore technology-based solutions to enhance efficiency
- Lead audit processes for current and future funds
- Support special projects and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred, MBA a plus)
- 8-15 years of experience in Fund Accounting, (top 10 CPA firm a plus)
- Strong knowledge of closed-end fund structures, private equity fee structures, and portfolio company investment transactions
- Experience with Investment Company Accounting (GAAP, Fair Market Value, etc.)
- Familiarity with PE Accounting Ledger and systems (Yardi preferred)
- Systems implementation experience a plus
This is a full-time, hybrid in-office role that offers a competitive salary up to $180K, a 20% bonus, and excellent benefits.
