Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
We are currently seeking candidates for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join a well-respected, dynamic organization located in Canton, MA. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for general reception and administrative responsibilities, and will also support employee engagement and human resources initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of relevant administrative experience and great communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week) contract-to-hire opportunity that will pay $21/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Manage general reception and administrative responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external communications (answer and direct incoming calls, greet employees and visitors, check-in visitors, etc.)
- Distribute mail and faxes daily and send interoffice mail to other locations bi-weekly
- Maintain office supplies; Order and track office inventory, gifts, and flowers (as needed)
- Support scheduling and meeting preparation, including ordering food for meetings and conferences, reserving conference rooms, and assisting with set-up
- Participate in employee engagement and human resources committees and initiatives
- Partners with Sr. Human Resources (HR) Generalist and supports Employee Activities Committee events and meetings
- Assist with special projects (Learning/Training, HR, Employee Engagement, Wellness Program, Marketing, etc.)
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 1+ years of administrative or receptionist experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
