Accounting Manager
A successful private equity fund administrator located in Boston is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This person will have significant accounting experience either at a private equity or fund administration firm, and experience managing direct reports and has direct client facing experience. This position will report directly to a Controller. This role has a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop familiarity with the fund partnership agreements for various clients

Obtain a working knowledge of all key systems, primarily Investran Live (accounting system), Salesforce CRM and Intralinks through training with the accounting group

Coordinate investor communication including capital call and distribution notices and capital balances statements for various clients

Input and review investment transactions into Investran Live general ledger system

Prepare management fee calculations, invoices and journal entries for review

Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations for various partnerships and related portfolio companies

Update allocation/waterfall models (quarterly) for partnerships based on the terms outlined in partnership agreements
Qualifications

Significant accounting experience either at a private equity or fund administration firm

BS required, work towards CPA or MBA a plus

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

Willingness to take on additional ad-hoc tasks and projects
